An Ongoing Education

In an Ongoing Education program, it is known that a student never stops learning since the tuition fees are free, and in the case of Alumni Retraining program, a student is able to reach the top with respect to latest techniques in his field of study after he graduates. Westwood College offers audit classes so a student can take up courses which have been upgraded since his graduation, or he can work with the College Career Services team.

Alto College, Inc. is located in Denver, Colorado. Westwood College, Redstone College, and Westwood College Online are all under the parent company of Alta. With more than 12,000 pupils now attending our courses, this organization runs 19 facilities in six states, along with the web-based Westwood College, affiliated with Westwood College, in north Denver.

Redstone College

Founded in 1965, Alta's Redstone College (Redstone) initially offered Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) training; in 1989 it expanded to encompass Avionics training. Redstone College is constantly adding programs to its diverse repertoire: in 2005, Heating/Ventilation/Air Conditioning/Refrigeration was added, and in 2006, the Construction Management program was developed. Graduates from Redstone are sought after by some of the nation's top aviation employers.

Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) Program: Advanced Electronic Technology (Avionics) Program

At Redstone College, programs such as Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) and Advanced Electronic Technology (Avionics) are offered to students by instructors who have expertise and connections to the industry and they enable a student to prepare himself for a secure living in the field of avionics. Redstone's classes in Avionics assist pupils in gaining entry-level jobs in the aviation sector and additionally readies them for the FCC accreditation test in less than a year and a half.

With over 2,100 hours of coursework and practical skills training in aircraft avionics, you will learn to diagnose and repair communications systems, navigation systems, autopilot, and collision avoidance systems, to name a few.

Advanced Electronics Technology (Avionics) Program
