UEI College
UEI College opened its doors over 25 years ago to meet the career education needs of students in Southern California. UEI currently has ten locations throughout California. The school offers programs in business administration, health care, massage therapy, computer technology, pharmacy, nursing, criminal justice, and automotive technology. UEI College is accredited by ACCET and is fully authorized to award degrees and certificates to students who complete their programs.
UEI focuses on short-term job-specific training programs that are geared to help the student secure a career in their desired field upon graduation. The curriculum is hands on and the learning environment is very interactive. Students can attend part-time or full-time depending on their schedule. UEI offers flexible times for their courses so that students are able to keep their other commitments while attending school. The admissions policy at UEI is open door, meaning students are not evaluated based on high school GPA or standardized test scores like the SAT or ACT.
The automotive technician program at UEI College prepares students for an entry-level automotive technician position. The program covers subjects including advanced engine performance, fuel systems, fuel injection, emission control systems, and onboard computerized engine control. Students who finish the program are eligible to apply for the BAR-97 Emissions Control Specialist examination. Instructors within the automotive technician program have industry experience that they are able to pass along to their students. UEI students are able to work on industry standard equipment that they will be using on the job.
UEI offers career services to their students secure jobs upon graduation. Students are taught the critical skills that are needed to obtain a career such as interviewing, professional dress, professional behavior on the job, internet job search skills, resume writing, and networking with potential employers.
