Truck Driving Certification
A number of different program start dates scattered throughout the year are available for this certificate program. This program prepares students for any entry level position for long or short distance drivers of tractor trailers, heavy trucks or dump trucks and tankers. These courses are there to help the students take the test to get their Class A license from the State of Michigan.
It is possible to have an excellent job potential in this field. All of the requirements, both state and federal, are met with the Truck Driving Certificate. In order to obtain a Truck Driving Certificate, any applicant must have attained at least 18 years of age, possess a valid operator’s license that is not currently, or within the immediate past 36 months, been suspended or revoked, should meet all physical requirements specified in The Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations Act, and provide and pass a DOT physical and NIDA drug screen for Baker College.

This program is available at these Baker College campuses and extensions: Allen Park, Cadillac, Cass City, Flint, Port Huron, West Branch.
Program Admission Requirements (Special)
Some of these programs require that you keep at least a C average (2.0) or higher GPA. One of the requirements for the Truck Driving Certificate is that students must pass a USDOT physical and drug test. Each student must read and fully understand what each of the program requirements are and what each student must do to complete this program.
