Lincoln Technical Institute has been providing hands-on training since 1946 when it opened its doors as a post-war job training facility.  After receiving national accreditation today Lincoln Technical Institute offers program opportunities in some of the most prominent industries such as culinary arts, HVAC, massage therapy, practical nursing, computer networking, and automotive.  Campuses are scattered throughout a number of states including Connecticut, Illinois, Indiana, Maryland, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, and Texas.  Diplomas, certificates, and associate’s degrees are available from each Lincoln Tech campus.

The automotive technician training program available at Lincoln Technical Institute allows students to pursue either an automotive degree or certification in the field.  Students are taught by certified instructors who have experience in the automotive industry.  Hands-on training is provided to each student in combination with lecture material.  The lab work is done in the field or shop and students are introduced to the industry standard tools and requirements.  Hands-on experience includes fuel and emissions system training, electrical systems, diagnostics, fundamental automotive technology, and drive lines.  The experience gained in the automotive program allows students to graduate and immediately enter the workforce as a certified automotive technician. 

Admission to the school and automotive program is convenient and worry free.  Students are required to possess a high school diploma or its equivalent.  Students should be 18 years or older to complete the online acceptance program at Lincoln Tech.  A campus tour is strongly encouraged prior to enrollment to ensure that the student is a good fit for the school and program.  Admission and career counselors are available on campus to assist students in determining what program best suits their needs and desired career choices. An admissions interview may be required in order to better design the student’s career path and academics. Capable staff works with students to ensure success.
