Hallmark College

The FAA granted Hallmark with certification for instruction in Aviation Maintenance Technician training in September of 1969 with an original enrollment of eight pupils. The original location of the school was at the historic Stinson Muncipal Airport in San Antonio.

During 1995, a new campus was established at the San Antonio International Airport to house the Aviation Technology Programs. At this point, Hallmark Aero-Tech underwent a name change to Hallmark Institute of Aeronautics and Hallmark Institute of Technology.

Aviation Campus Hallmark Facility

The Hallmark College of Aeronautics is situated adjacent to Runway 3 at San Antonio International Airport's SE edge and the classroom and hangar space fills more than 60,000 square feet. There are many facilities in which the student will learn; these include laboratories, aircraft hangars, academic classrooms, computer labs and the library. Administrative office and workspaces are available for direct administrative services for pupils.

The FAA certifies the Hallmark College of Aeronautics as an Aviation Maintenance Technician School. Aircraft ramp areas are provided for both parking and operating, with a Boeing 727 utilized just for instruction. The interconnecting taxiways make the airport runways immediately accessible.

A laboratory equipped with the Aircraft Structural Repair work contains workstations for the operation training in repair and/or fabrication of sheet metal and composite projects.

Within the Turbine Engine Lab you'll find these engines for practice to disassemble, maintain and size with mobile working turbine engines.

Students will have direct access to the Reciprocating Engine Lab where they can work on engine test cells and learn repair, testing and operational procedures.

Advisers from Hallmark's Financial Planning department guide a student in every step to eliminate the confusion and problems that a prospective student may come across when he tries to figure out how he will be able to pay for his education.

Each individual student's needs are assessed, and then a Financial Planning Adviser will come up with a solution for each student that will involve a combination of grants and/or loans.
