AUTOMOTIVE TECHNOLOGY (ASE) TOYOTA T-TEN

The fast paced world of automotive technology requires more from the current automotive technician. It takes more than just being a decent mechanic. Technicians nowadays are expected to carry superior mechanical skills, exceptional knowledge of electronics, capability to diagnose and solve complex problems, and be willing to keep up with the advance in technology. Applicants must acquire the needed technical know-how and gain direct, real world experience before qualifying for the over 100,000 jobs that need to be filled. WCC and T - Ten, the Toyota Technical Education Network, have joined together with the common goal of creating the best, most complete automotive educational experience available in order to meet these employment requirements in the Wiregrass area.

Students learn in both the traditional classroom and in the hands-on laboratory. Their facility is supplied with the most current vehicles and leading-edge equipment so students are sure to gain the skills they need for today’s market. Books, supplies, and required tools must be bought by the students.

Students finishing all program courses satisfactorily will receive a degree of associate in applied science in Automotive Technology. Students will receive a program certificate upon finishing satisfactorily all the Automotive Technology courses. The student's ability to perform the required functions as identified for this course is what admission is based on. They do consider reasonable accommodations.

Overall Graduation Rate and Transfer-Out Rate

The overall graduation rate is also known as the "Student Right to Know" or IPEDS graduation rate. It tracks the progress of students who began their studies as full-time, first-time degree- or certificate-seeking students to see if they complete a degree or other award such as a certificate within 150% of "normal time" for completing the program in which they are enrolled.

Some institutions also report a transfer-out rate, which is the percentage of the full-time, first-time students who transferred to another institution.

Note that not all students at the institution are tracked for these rates. Students who have already attended another postsecondary institution, or who began their studies on a part-time basis, are not tracked for this rate.
