Established in 1983, NATEF (National Automotive Technicians Education Foundation) operates profit-free to examine and recommend training programs like collision repair or auto body painting using the standards outlined by the US automotive industry. They recommend the courses that are of a high enough quality to be certified (accredited) by ASE, the National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence.
