Automotive Dealership Institute
The Automotive Dealership Institute is an institution that provides courses and diplomas specific to the automotive and dealership field. The training center is located in Scottsdale, Arizona in the upscale Eldorado Square. The school sits adjacent to the Scottsdale Hilton Resort and Villas. The school has received approval from the Arizona State Board for Private Postsecondary Education and meets the minimum standards approved by the State Board.
There are two automotive training courses offered at the Automotive Dealership Institute. Automotive Finance Management is a four-week long course that includes 160 clock hours of study. The curriculum of the finance management training is designed to include all aspects of finance and management in the automotive industry. The curriculum is broken into four week-long modules.
The first module deals with dealership retail operating systems, vehicle sales transactions, finance software, lease calculations, lease agreements, and deal practices. The second week-long session includes finance and insurance, prime, rules and regulations, interest and finance charge calculations, loan structuring, and loan processing and funding. The third module deals with an overview of non-prime finance lenders, an introduction to Internet financing, credit bureaus, budgeting and deal structuring for non-prime lenders, and structuring special finance deals. The last week-long module addresses the F&I menu selling process.
The second training course offered at the Automotive Dealership Institute is the Automotive Service Advisor. This training session consists of two weeks or 80 clock hours and is broken into two week-long sessions. The first module provides an introduction into what a service advisor is and does. Module one also addresses telephone and customer interview procedures. The second session includes the sales process and the steps and definitions of a sales cycle. Students learn to address customer satisfaction and deal with overcoming objections. Upon completion a diploma is issued to the successful student.
