Ashworth College is an online education institution that offers over 100 programs in some of the swiftest growing fields. Program options include certificates and diplomas, associate’s degrees, bachelor’s degrees, and master’s degrees. High school diplomas are also available. Courses are available at the student’s pace and presented online to ensure flexibility and an anytime study option.
Online skilled trades programs can be completed in such areas as carpentry, electrician training, heating and air conditioning, home inspection, real estate appraisal skills, motorcycle repair, and auto mechanic. Completion of the trades programs qualifies students to receive a career diploma. The auto mechanic program is made up of 18 comprehensive lessons. Each lesson initiates with a particular topic or subject matter and clear objectives are pointed out. Reading assignments are issued along with practice exercises that assist the student in reviewing the reading material. The practice exercises are geared to promote comprehension and retention of the material studied. At the end of each lesson is an open book examination that can be taken online.
Some of the lesson topics for the auto mechanic program include basic automotive maintenance, automotive safety, engine lubrication, battery and charging systems, ignition and engine cooling systems, and fuel and emission control systems. Graduates of the program receive hands-on experience in all automotive systems operations which allows the student to become more employable and achieve entry-level job opportunities in the automotive industry.
Admission to Ashworth College is simple and past experience or academic performance is not crucial. There are basic prerequisites for each program and a high school diploma is required for all undergraduate degree programs.
